Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 3, 2026

This policy explains what information ForgePDF (forgepdf.org) handles when you use our free PDF and file tools.

1. Your files stay on your device

Our tools run in your web browser using JavaScript. When you select a file, it is read into your browser's memory and processed on your device. ForgePDF does not upload your documents or images to our servers and does not keep copies of them. Closing or refreshing the page clears them from memory.

2. Information we do not collect

We do not require accounts or ask for your name or email to use the tools. We do not see, read, or store the content of files you process.

3. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting and network provider (Cloudflare) may log technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and timestamps for security and performance. We use this only to operate and protect the site.

4. Cookies and advertising (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense to display ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. More about how Google uses data is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland), we request your consent before using cookies for personalized advertising.

5. Language translation

The language menu uses the Google Translate widget. Choosing a language stores a cookie (googtrans) in your browser and loads Google's translation service. Translation applies to page text only, never to your files.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data, or to object to its processing. Because we do not hold your documents or create user accounts, there is generally little personal data to request, but you can contact us at any time.

7. Children

ForgePDF is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

8. Changes

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
